Service Insert - Allocations Tab

Depending on system setup, allocations may be automatically taken during service insert. The setup required involves specific service status codes and in some instances specific message types attached to those service codes which are used to indicate the path the system takes during the booking process.

Having Tourplan automatically take allocations does enforce some quite specific rules regarding what can or can’t be done with a service.

No allocation is automatically taken for the purposes of the examples in this document.

The allocation tab enables available allocations to be viewed prior to selecting the service. If an allocation is not available, then the Radio buttons at the bottom of this screen can be used to search for services for the same supplier or for the same location that do have allocations.

The column headings above the displayed allocation are the standard headings. Allocations Scrolls for lists of all columns that can be included/excluded in this scroll.

Allocation

The allocation name

Unit

The allocation unit/type – Room or Seat etc

Sub Allocation

The sub allocation(‘Allocation Split’) name

G/S

Indicator for whether the allocation is either General to the supplier or Specific to the Service.

Supplier

The allocation supplier code.

Option

The Product Option Code that the allocation is attached to (Service Specific only)

Option Description

The product option Description

RD

The number of days from today's date to the Release Date of the allocation.

Date

The number of Rooms available on this date (3) and the number required for this booking (2)

 

The search date(s) can be extended by changing the dates in the ‘Show From’, ‘Show To’ fields at the bottom of the screen.

 

Allocations can also be viewed/taken/returned once the service has been saved into the booking - Service ListAllocations.
